How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Priest of Gix.
2. When Priest of Gix dies, Rakdos triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Priest of Gix from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, causing you to exile the top three cards of your library with the ability to play them until your next end step.
5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability from step 1.
6. Cast Priest of Gix from exile by paying 2.
7. When Priest of Gix enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding .
8. Repeat.

This clever loop feeds on the mana-positive nature of Priest of Gix, which generates three black mana upon entering the battlefield to easily cover its own return. Woe Strider provides a reliable sacrifice outlet while leaving behind a Goat token and offering useful scry value, and Cemetery Prowler passively discounts your creature spells by reducing their costs based on card types exiled from graveyards. Meanwhile, Haunted Crossroads loops the Priest directly from the graveyard back to the top of your library for a single mana, setting it up to be exiled by Rakdos, the Muscle whenever you sacrifice it. Rakdos then lets you exile your entire library and play those cards using any color of mana, turning an engine of infinite death triggers and storm count into a game-winning excavation of your own deck.
