How it works

1. Cast Aether Snap by paying 3, removing all counters from all permanents and exiling all tokens.
2. Dark Depths triggers, causing you to sacrifice it and create a 20/20 Marit Lage legendary creature token.
3. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Mayael's Aria triggers, causing you to put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control, gain 10 life and win the game.

Dark Depths typically asks you to patiently whittle away its ten ice counters three mana at a time, but Aether Snap completely bypasses that slow grind by stripping every single counter away in one swift stroke. This instant removal of the ice triggers Dark Depths right away, sacrificing the land to conjure the monstrous 20/20 Marit Lage token onto the battlefield. Once your turn rolls around, Mayael's Aria immediately spots your newly minted giant during your upkeep and instantly converts that 20/20 power into a sudden victory.
