How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Fathom Mage.
3. Fathom Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
4. Queza triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop transforms a single instance of life gain into a self-sustaining cascade of card draw, counters, and drain. It all begins when Spider-Man, Peter Parker reacts to your initial lifegain by placing a +1/+1 counter on Fathom Mage, which in turn triggers the Mage to draw you a card. That newly drawn card brings Queza, Augur of Agonies into the action to drain an opponent while restoring your life total. Because you just gained life, Spider-Man, Peter Parker triggers once more to restart the entire sequence, letting you churn through your deck while bleeding out the opposition.
