How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Fathom Mage triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself
3. Fathom Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
4. Shabraz triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and put a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever synergy sets up a perpetual motion machine of card draw, lifegain, and power-scaling once you manage to kick off the chain. The loop relies on Sunbond enchanting one of your creatures to translate every bit of lifegain directly into a flood of +1/+1 counters. When those counters land on Fathom Mage, its evolve ability and native trigger hand you a card, which in turn causes Shabraz, the Skyshark to trigger, boosting its own stats and granting you the life needed to restart the whole cycle through Sunbond.
