How it works
- Gain life.
- Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Fathom Mage.
- Fathom Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
- Shabraz triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and put a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Repeat from step 2.
This delightful loop turns any initial life gain into a self-sustaining engine by passing counters and triggers back and forth between your board. When Spider-Man, Peter Parker grants a +1/+1 counter to Fathom Mage in response to you gaining life, the Mage's evolve and counter-drawing abilities step in to draw you a card. That newly drawn card immediately activates Shabraz, the Skyshark, which pumps itself while simultaneously granting you the life you need to trigger Spider-Man, Peter Parker all over again.
