How it works
- Gain life.
- Fathom Mage triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself
- Fathom Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
- Horizon Chimera triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This elegant engine feeds on itself in a continuous loop once you manage to gain life and kick off the sequence. Sunbond transforms every bit of lifegain into +1/+1 counters on Fathom Mage, whose own evolve ability also helps prime the pump. As those counters land, Fathom Mage draws you a card, which immediately prompts Horizon Chimera to grant you life, looping right back into Sunbond to start the cycle anew.
