How it works
- Cast Roar of Reclamation by paying 5.
- In response, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
- Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, copying Roar of Reclamation.
- Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage, causing any player to mill two cards.
- Resolve a copy of Roar of Reclamation, returning all nonland permanent cards from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop transforms a mass-reanimation spell into a self-sustaining engine by turning your entire deck and graveyard into artifacts with Encroaching Mycosynth. When you cast Roar of Reclamation, you intercept it by flashing in Dualcaster Mage to copy the spell, which brings back your permanents—including Altar of Dementia and the Mage itself if they were binned. You then sacrifice Dualcaster Mage to Altar of Dementia to mill your library, dumping more pieces into the graveyard before the next copied Roar of Reclamation resolves to pull them all right back to the battlefield.
