How it works

1. Activate Lilysplash Mentor by paying 1, blinking Gandalf.
2. When Gandalf enters, it triggers, dealing 3 damage to Smaug.
3. Smaug triggers, creating three Treasure tokens.
4. Activate three Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This charming loop relies on Lilysplash Mentor acting as an active engine, using its activation cost to repeatedly blink Gandalf, Spark Starter. Each time Gandalf re-enters the battlefield, his entry trigger directs 3 damage straight at Smaug the Impenetrable. Because Smaug is indestructible, he shrugs off the damage while his triggered ability happily translates it into three fresh Treasure tokens. Sacrificing those very same Treasures refunds the mana needed to keep Lilysplash Mentor's blink going indefinitely, fueling an endless cycle of enters-the-battlefield and artifact triggers.
