How it works

1. Cast Volcano Hellion by paying 2.
2. When Volcano Hellion enters, it triggers, dealing an arbitarily large amount of damage to you and a creature. The damage that would be dealt to you is dealt to Mogg Maniac instead due to Pariah.
3. Mogg Maniac triggers, dealing an arbitrarily large amount of damage to an applicable target.

This clever brew turns Volcano Hellion's self-inflicted damage into a lethal weapon by redirecting the hurt away from you and straight at your opponent. While Volcano Hellion's enter-the-battlefield trigger demands an arbitrary amount of damage be dealt to both you and a creature, enchanting Mogg Maniac with Pariah intercepts the blow destined for your life total. Instead of hurting you, that massive wave of damage hits Mogg Maniac, whose triggered ability takes the exact same numeric value and channels it directly into an opponent's face for the win.
