How it works
- Activate Thallid Soothsayer by paying 2 and sacrificing another creature, causing you to draw a card.
- An opponent's Wedding Ring's second ability triggers, causing them to draw a card.
- Xyris' first ability triggers, creating two 1/1 Snake creature tokens.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Snake, adding CC.
- Repeat.
By planting a Wedding Ring on your opponent's board, you create a mirror that forces them to share in your card-drawing ambitions. When you feed a creature to Thallid Soothsayer, their copy of the Ring triggers to draw them a card, which in turn awakens Xyris, the Writhing Storm to flood your board with Snake tokens. Anointed Procession happily doubles this reptilian bounty, ensuring you have an endless supply of sacrifices to feed back into Ashnod's Altar for the colorless mana needed to keep Thallid Soothsayer turning pages.
