How it works

1. Activate Kiki-Jiki by tapping it, creating a token copy of Hostage Taker.
2. When the Hostage Taker token enters the battlefield, it triggers, exiling Kiki-Jiki until Hostage Taker leaves the battlefield.
3. Activate Grimgrin by sacrificing the Hostage Taker token.
4. When the Hostage Taker token dies, Kiki-Jiki is returned from exile to the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Grimgrin ability.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Grimgrin, Corpse-Born into an endless factory by weaponizing a temporary clone. By using Kiki-Jiki to copy Hostage Taker, the resulting token exiles Kiki-Jiki upon entering the battlefield, safely tucking the goblin away. Sacrificing that Hostage Taker token to Grimgrin not only untaps the zombie and feeds it a +1/+1 counter, but also releases Kiki-Jiki from exile to repeat the cycle anew.
