How it works

1. Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library.
2. Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying 0 and removing a counter from a creature you control.
3. When Sensei's Divining Top enters, Yotian Dissident triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Yotian Dissident.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Sensei's Divining Top into a self-sustaining engine by letting you draw it and replay it entirely from the top of your library. Falco Spara, Pactweaver provides the vital alternate casting cost, allowing you to bypass mana expenses by consuming a counter from a creature you control—a cost that Yotian Dissident cheerfully replenishes every time Sensei's Divining Top re-enters the battlefield as an artifact. While Ballad of the Black Flag isn't strictly required to execute the loop itself, its presence lets you churn through your deck for historic cards and enjoy massive cost reductions if you need them.
