How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Phantasmal Image.
2. When Phantasmal Image dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Driver of the Dead.
3. Resolve the Shilgengar ability from step 1.
4. Repeat.

This intricate loop relies on Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to act as our central sacrifice engine, turning the life of our minions into a wealth of Blood tokens. By sacrificing Phantasmal Image—which is currently copying Driver of the Dead—we trigger the Driver's ability to pull a low-mana creature from the graveyard, allowing Phantasmal Image to constantly recycle itself right back to the battlefield as another copy of Driver of the Dead. Each iteration of this cycle feeds back into Shilgengar, letting you generate an endless stream of sacrifice triggers, leave-the-battlefield effects, and Blood tokens until you are ready to use them.
