How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Woodfall Primus.
2. When Woodfall Primus dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Woodfall Primus enters, it triggers, destroying a noncreature permanent.
4. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
5. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Woodfall Primus.
6. When Woodfall Primus dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. When Woodfall Primus enters, it triggers, destroying a noncreature permanent.
8. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the brilliant counter-canceling interaction between Woodfall Primus and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed: because persist and undying put opposing counters on the Primus, each ability triggers alternately every time it dies. While Umbral Collar Zealot provides the repeatable sacrifice outlet needed to keep the cycle turning, its built-in surveil ability also lets you sift through your library at will. As the giant tree repeatedly enters and leaves the battlefield, its triggered ability wipes out every single noncreature permanent your opponents control, completely locking them out of the game.
