How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Sage of Fables, adding CC.
  2. When Sage of Fables dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  3. Activate Sage of Fables by paying 2 and removing the +1/+1 counter from it, causing you to draw a card.
  4. Repeat.
