How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
5. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
6. When Kitchen Finks dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. When Kitchen Finks enters, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
8. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop exploits a fascinating rules interaction between two opposing counter mechanics, all fueled by Bloodflow Connoisseur as the designated sacrificial outlet. When Kitchen Finks dies, its native persist ability normally brings it back with a -1/-1 counter, but Mikaeus, the Unhallowed steps in to grant it undying as well; because state-based actions cause +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters to annihilate each other upon entering, the Finks enters cleanly without any counters at all. This allows you to alternate between persist and undying each time the creature is fed to Bloodflow Connoisseur, generating infinite sacrifice triggers, life, and arbitrarily large stats.
