How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Otherworldly Escort.
2. When Otherworldly Escort dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a Spirit Detective.
3. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
4. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Otherworldly Escort.
5. When Otherworldly Escort dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on a clever mechanical interaction between Otherworldly Escort and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. When you sacrifice Otherworldly Escort to Viscera Seer, its own death trigger returns it as a Spirit with charge counters, clearing away any previous counters so that Mikaeus's undying ability can catch it on the very next sacrifice. Because undying places a +1/+1 counter on it while its own effect resets its card type, you can endlessly alternate between these two resurrection triggers. Viscera Seer happily oversees this eternal cycle, letting you sacrifice the Escort ad infinitum to scry through your entire deck while generating boundless death and entry triggers.
