How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Scuzzback Marauders.
2. When Scuzzback Marauders dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
4. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Scuzzback Marauders.
5. When Scuzzback Marauders dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
7. Repeat.

This crafty loop exploits the perpetual conflict between persist and undying to achieve infinite sacrifices and triggers. Whenever Scuzzback Marauders hits the graveyard, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed grants it undying while its own native persist brings it back bearing a -1/-1 counter; crucially, these two opposing counters annihilate each other immediately upon entry, leaving the creature completely clean of counters and ready to die all over again. By feeding this cycle into Bloodflow Connoisseur, you can continuously sacrifice the marauders to grow the connoisseur into an infinitely massive threat while farming an endless stream of death and entry triggers.
