How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Otherworldly Escort.
2. When Otherworldly Escort dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a Spirit Detective.
3. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
4. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Otherworldly Escort.
5. When Otherworldly Escort dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop harnesses the interaction between a tireless sacrifice outlet and a recursive threat to generate infinite triggers. By feeding Otherworldly Escort to Carrion Feeder, you trigger the Escort's own death condition to return it as a Spirit Detective, which conveniently strips away its original Human typing so it can benefit from Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. Once the Escort returns this first time, Mikaeus's static undying anthem takes over for all subsequent iterations, allowing the Escort to bounce back with a +1/+1 counter each time it is sacrificed. As Carrion Feeder grows infinitely large on the sacrifices, you simultaneously reap endless leaves-the-battlefield, enters-the-battlefield, and death triggers to fuel your victory.
