How it works

1. Activate Megatog by sacrificing Grim Poppet.
2. When Grim Poppet dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
3. Resolve the Megatog ability
4. Repeat.

This brilliant bit of necromancy transforms your graveyard into a perpetual engine, fueled by Mikaeus, the Unhallowed granting the vital undying keyword to your non-Human creatures. By feeding the ravenous Megatog with your own hardware, you send Grim Poppet straight to the graveyard, only for Mikaeus's blessing to immediately resurrect it with a clean slate. Because Grim Poppet enters the battlefield anew without any +1/+1 counters, the undying loop can start all over again whenever you sacrifice it once more. Along the way, this endlessly churning cycle lets you pump Megatog to astronomical proportions while generating infinite sacrifice and death triggers to overwhelm your opponents.
