How it works

1. Activate Lithatog by sacrificing Grim Poppet.
2. When Grim Poppet dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
3. Resolve the Lithatog ability
4. Repeat.

This delightfully twisted loop turns Mikaeus, the Unhallowed into a grim engine of perpetual motion by granting his undying ability to your other non-Human creatures. When you feed Grim Poppet to Lithatog's sacrifice altar, the Poppet's demise immediately triggers undying, resurrecting it fresh and free of counters so it can return to the battlefield ready to repeat the cycle. Lithatog grows massively monstrous with each iteration, while the repeating sacrifice loop continuously feeds your triggers for infinite deaths, leaves-the-battlefield events, and enters-the-battlefield effects.
