How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Hero, adding one mana of any color.
2. When Optimus Prime, Hero dies, its second ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader, adding one mana of any color.
4. When Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader dies, Mikaeus triggers, returning Optimus Prime from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Hero with a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling, using Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to keep the cycle going. With Mikaeus's static anthem granting undying to your non-Human creatures, sacrificing Optimus Prime, Hero to Phyrexian Altar sends it to the graveyard, where its own death trigger returns it to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader. When you then sacrifice that front side to Phyrexian Altar, Mikaeus's undying ability triggers to bring it back to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Hero with a +1/+1 counter—instantly resetting its state so the process can begin anew. Because each transformation neatly strips away the previous counter, you generate an endless loop of sacrifices that churns out infinite colored mana alongside infinite leave-the-battlefield, entry, and death triggers.
