How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the other Dinosaur.
2. When the Dinosaur dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to the -1/-1 counter it will gain from Blue.
3. Repeat.

This crafty loop turns Mikaeus, the Unhallowed into an engine of endless rebirth by leveraging his static undying anthem to grant your non-Human creatures a second chance at life. When you sacrifice a creature to Phyrexian Altar, Mikaeus ensures it bounces right back to the battlefield, while Blue, Loyal Raptor cleverly alters how your dinosaurs enter the fray. Because Blue passes out kinds of counters she bears onto other entering Dinosaurs, a well-placed -1/-1 counter can constantly cancel out the +1/+1 counter from undying—keeping the sacrifice loop going infinitely. This results in an endless supply of colored mana, death triggers, and sacrifice counts to fuel your victory.
