How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing the other Dinosaur.
2. When the Dinosaur dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to the -1/-1 counter it will gain from Blue.
3. Repeat.

This potent engine centers around Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, whose static undying ability grants your non-Human creatures a second life when they perish. To make this loop self-sustaining, Thermopod acts as both the sacrificial outlet and the mana generator, turning each fallen creature into red mana. The brilliant twist comes from Blue, Loyal Raptor: because Blue grants incoming Dinosaurs a counter for each kind of counter on it, your looping Dinosaur enters the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter that immediately cancels out the +1/+1 counter from undying. This clever math ensures the Dinosaur never accumulates counters, allowing Mikaeus, the Unhallowed's undying trigger to repeat endlessly.
