How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrifiicing Pith Driller.
2. When Pith Driller dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. When Pith Driller enters the battlefield, it triggers, putting a -1/-1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Pith Driller's power.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to continuously resurrect your creatures with its static undying anthem, ensuring that whenever a non-Human bites the dust, it comes right back for more. By sacrificing Pith Driller to Altar of Dementia, you mill your opponent while sending the Driller to the graveyard, setting up its return. Because Pith Driller's own entry trigger places a -1/-1 counter on itself, that counter immediately cancels out the +1/+1 counter from undying, keeping the creature pristine and ready to be sacrificed all over again.
