How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Hero.
2. When Optimus Prime, Hero dies, its second ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader.
4. When Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader dies, Mikaeus triggers, returning Optimus Prime from your graveyard to the battlefield as Optimus Prime, Hero with a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Resolve both Umbral Collar Zealot abilities from steps 1 and 3, putting two +1/+1 counters on it.
6. Repeat.

This clever looping engine relies on the interplay between Optimus Prime, Hero // Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, and Umbral Collar Zealot to generate an endless cycle of sacrifices, deaths, and transformations. Because Mikaeus, the Unhallowed grants undying to your non-Human creatures while also providing a structural stat boost, it allows Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader to return with a +1/+1 counter when it perishes. Meanwhile, when the back face dies, its own inherent text brings it right back converted as Optimus Prime, Hero. By feeding both faces back and forth into Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice ability, you seamlessly alternate which revival effect catches the robot, letting you churn through infinite enter-the-battlefield, leave-the-battlefield, and surveil triggers at will.
