Phantom Train
Infinite creature LTBInfinite creature ETBInfinite creature sacrifice triggersInfinite death triggersInfinite +1/+1 counters on a creature
How it works
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing another nontoken non-Human creature
When the creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the creature with a +1/+1 counter on it.
When the creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
Resolve the Phantom Train abilities from step 1 and 3.
Repeat.
This clever loop is orchestrated by Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, whose static ability grants all your non-Human creatures undying while also pumping them up with a +1/+1 counter. Meanwhile, the night-side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight grants those same creatures persist, creating a seesaw effect where dying with a +1/+1 counter removes it and triggers persist, and dying with a -1/+1 counter removes it and triggers undying. Phantom Train serves as the engine that keeps this cycle spinning, letting you sacrifice creatures to fuel its ability and grow the Vehicle while repeatedly exploiting Mikaeus and Isilu's overlapping resurrection mechanics.
