How it works

  1. Activate Wernog by paying 2, blinking it.
  2. When Wernog leaves and enters the battlefield, it triggers twice and Deadeye Navigator's soulbond ability triggers once.
  3. Resolve both Wernog triggers, creating at least two Clue artifact tokens.
  4. Resolve the Deadeye Navigator trigger, repairing it and Wernog.
  5. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing two Clue tokens, adding CCCC.
  6. Repeat.
  7. Once you have infinite Clue tokens and mana, you may sacrifice them to draw infinite cards.

This ingenious commander engine hinges on the partnership between Wernog, Rider's Chaplain and Deadeye Navigator, whose soulbond ability lets you continuously blink Wernog for a small mana investment. Each time Wernog cycles through the battlefield, its enter- and leave-the-battlefield triggers generate a flurry of Clue artifact tokens to fuel your machine. Those Clues are instantly fed into Krark-Clan Ironworks, which sacrifices them for the colorless mana needed to keep the Deadeye Navigator blinks going while spinning off infinite resources. To convert that massive surplus into a victory, Chromatic Orrery steps in to let you spend your accumulated mana of any color and draw your entire deck.
