How it works

  1. Cast Time Walk by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  2. Cast Warden of the Eye by paying its mana cost.
  3. When Warden of the Eye enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Time Walk from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Move to your next turn.
  5. Activate Dour Port-Mage by paying 1U mana and tapping it, returning Warden of the Eye from the battlefield to your hand.
  6. Dour Port-Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  7. Repeat.

This brilliant loop locks down the vintage format by chaining extra turns indefinitely, using Warden of the Eye as a recursive engine to continuously reclaim Time Walk from your graveyard. While the Warden already secures your infinite turns by looping the spell each time it enters the battlefield, Dour Port-Mage elevates the sequence from a simple lock into a game-winning advantage. By utilizing Dour Port-Mage's active ability to bounce the Warden back to your hand, you trigger its passive draw ability to harvest a card with every single iteration, ensuring you not only control all the turns to come, but draw your entire deck in the process.
