Warden of the Eye
Time Warp
Infinite turnsLock
How it works
Cast Time Warp by paying 3, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
Move to your next turn.
Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1.
When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EEEEE, sacrificing a creature with mana value 1 or less, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Warden of the Eye from your graveyard to the battlefield.
When Warden of the Eye enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Time Warp from your graveyard to your hand.
Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1.
When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying at most E, sacrificing Warden of the Eye, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning a creature with mana value 1 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat.
This cunning loop twists time itself by recycling resources through the graveyard until your opponents never get another untap step. You kick things off by casting Time Warp to secure an extra turn, which then sets the stage for Chthonian Nightmare to continuously enter the battlefield and fuel your energy reserves. By sacrificing creatures to Chthonian Nightmare's activated ability, you can bring back Warden of the Eye to continually dredge that very same Time Warp right back to your hand. As long as you have a cheap fodder creature to keep the sacrifice engine greased, you can repeat this cycle indefinitely for infinite turns.
