How it works

  1. Cast Saw in Half by paying 2B mana, destroying Warden of the Eye and creating two token copies of it with base power equal to half the destroyed creature's power and base toughness equal to half the destroyed creature's toughness, rounding up each time.
  2. When the Warden of the Eye tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Saw in Half and Burnt Offering from your graveyard to your hand.
  3. Cast Burnt Offering by paying B mana and sacrificing a Warden of the Eye token, adding B manaB mana plus an additional amount of B mana and/or R mana equal to its mana value minus 2.
  4. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Saw in Half to split your original Warden of the Eye into two distinct copies, doubling up its enter-the-battlefield trigger to recurse both Saw in Half and Burnt Offering right back to your hand. From there, you use Burnt Offering to sacrifice one of those Warden of the Eye tokens to fuel your mana pool and net enough resources to cast Saw in Half all over again. Because the tokens enter and leave the battlefield repeatedly to feed the loop, you can continuously repeat the process to generate infinite mana and trigger effects.
