How it works

  1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using a Rogue.
  2. Cast Notorious Throng for its prowl cost by paying 5U mana, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  3. Cast Warden of the Eye by paying its mana cost.
  4. When Warden of the Eye enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Notorious Throng from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Move to your next turn.
  6. Activate Dour Port-Mage by paying 1U mana and tapping it, returning Warden of the Eye from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Dour Port-Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  8. Repeat.

This clever loop gives you all the pieces you need to take infinite turns while constantly churning through your library. You begin by casting Notorious Throng for its prowl cost, netting a swarm of Faerie Rogues and setting up the extra turn; when you follow it up with Warden of the Eye, its enters-the-battlefield ability reaches back into your graveyard to return that very same Notorious Throng right to your hand. From there, Dour Port-Mage acts as the engine's revolving door, using its tap ability to bounce Warden of the Eye back to your hand so you can replay it on subsequent turns. Every time that bounce happens, Dour Port-Mage triggers a card draw to keep your hand full of options while you repeat the process indefinitely.
