How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Warden of the Eye, adding CC.
2. When Warden of the Eye dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Warden of the Eye on top of your library from your graveyard.
3. Cast Hit the Mother Lode by paying 4, exiling Warden of the Eye from the top of your library and casting it without paying its mana cost, and creating five tapped Treasure artifact tokens.
4. When Warden of the Eye and the Treasures enter the battlefield, Amulet of Vigor triggers five times and Warden of the Eye triggers once.
5. Resolve all Amulet of Vigor triggers, untapping the Treasures.
6. Resolve the Warden of the Eye trigger, returning Hit the Mother Lode from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Activate five Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the massive mana value of Hit the Mother Lode into an engine for infinite value, beginning when you sacrifice Warden of the Eye to Ashnod's Altar for two colorless mana. As the Warden dies, Mortuary immediately intervenes to place it directly on top of your library, perfectly positioned to be found by Hit the Mother Lode's Discover 10 mechanic. Cast the spell without paying its mana cost to generate five tapped Treasure tokens, which Amulet of Vigor swiftly untaps so you can sacrifice them for the exact red mana needed to keep casting the spell. Finally, the Warden of the Eye you just discovered enters the battlefield and its triggered ability plucks Hit the Mother Lode right back out of your graveyard, looping the entire process indefinitely.
