How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Dross Harvester trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Dross Harvester trigger, causing you to gain 2 life.
5. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
6. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
7. Repeat.

This intricate loop turns the top of your library into an endless engine of sacrifice and resurrection, utilizing Bolas's Citadel to cast spells straight from the library by paying life instead of mana. Bloodflow Connoisseur acts as the sacrificial outlet, feeding on Golgari Thug over and over again while growing larger with each iteration thanks to its ability to put +1/+1 counters on itself. Whenever Golgari Thug dies, its trigger places it right back on top of your library, allowing you to replay it immediately through Bolas's Citadel, while Dross Harvester steps in to mitigate the life loss by constantly replenishing your total with its life-gaining trigger every time a creature perishes.
