How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it.
2. When Blood Pet dies, Mortuary and Dross Harvester trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Dross Harvester trigger, causing you to gain 2 life
5. Resolve the Blood Pet ability.
6. Cast Blood Pet from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This elegant black-mana loop transforms a humble sacrifice into an endless engine of life and resources. By sacrificing Blood Pet for mana, you trigger its death: Mortuary instantly rescues the creature from the graveyard to the top of your library, while Dross Harvester offsets the life costs of your impending spells by granting you life for every fallen creature. Gwenom, Remorseless then breaks the rules of conventional casting by letting you peer into the future and play that freshly stacked Blood Pet directly from the top of your library. Instead of paying mana, Gwenom asks you to pay life equal to the spell's mana value—a cost completely mitigated by the life you're gaining along the way.
