How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Dross Harvester trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Dross Harvester trigger, causing you to gain 2 life.
5. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
6. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
7. Repeat.

This loop is brilliantly fueled by Gwenom, Remorseless, which lets you cast cards directly from the top of your library by paying life instead of mana. By activating Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to sacrifice Golgari Thug, you trigger both the Thug's own death ability and Dross Harvester's life-gaining trigger. The Thug places itself back onto your library, while Dross Harvester cushions the life payment required to play it again off the top. Repeat this cycle to endlessly churn through your deck, sacrifice creatures, and amass an infinite horde of Blood tokens.
