How it works

1. Proceed to your cleanup step, causing you to discard down to your maximum hand size.
2. Magmakin Artillerist triggers for each card discarded this way.
3. Resolve the first Magmakin Artillerist trigger, dealing damage to each opponent.
4. Kefka triggers, causing you to draw a card for each opponent that lost life.
5. Repeat from step 3 as needed for all remaining Magmakin Artillerist triggers.
6. Once all players have passed priority and the stack is empty, you will still be in your cleanup step, and will discard down to your maximum hand size.
7. Repeat from step 2.

This fascinating loop turns your cleanup step into an engine of absolute ruin by leveraging the reflexive discard at the end of your turn. As you discard down to your maximum hand size, Magmakin Artillerist triggers for each card dropped, pinging your opponents and advancing your total damage. Each instance of loss of life immediately feeds into Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin's transformed back face (Kefka, Ruler of Ruin), which rewards you with a mountain of card draw for every life lost during your turn. Because the game allows you to repeat this discard process if cards remain or are drawn back into hand before the cleanup step finally concludes, you can cycle through your entire deck while incinerating the board.
