How it works

1. Cast Grovetender Druids by paying 2.
2. When Grovetender Druids enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to pay 1 to create a 1/1 Plant creature token.
3. When the Plant enters the battlefield as an Ally due to Maskwood Nexus, Grovetender Druids triggers.
4. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Plant, adding 1.
5. Resolve the Grovetender Druids trigger, causing you to pay 1 to create a 1/1 Plant creature token.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This loop transforms Grovetender Druids into an infinite token generator by leveraging Maskwood Nexus to turn every creature you control—and every token it creates—into an Ally. With that universal creature type in place, the Plant tokens entering the battlefield endlessly re-trigger the Druids' rally ability, requiring a payment of {1} each time. Phyrexian Altar provides the crucial mana engine to fuel those {1} costs by sacrificing each newly created Plant for {1}, generating an endless cycle of creature entry, sacrifice, and re-triggering.
