How it works

1. During an opponent's turn, activate Heart of Kiran by tapping Wylie Duke.
2. Wylie Duke triggers, causing you to draw a card and gain 1 life.
3. The Watcher's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Tentacle creature token.
4. Resolve the Heart of Kiran ability, causing it to become a creature until end of turn.
5. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing the Tentacle.
6. When the Tentacle dies, The Watcher's second ability triggers, untapping Wylie Duke and putting a stun counter on up to one permanent.
7. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability
8. Repeat.

This intricate loop centers around Maskwood Nexus, which transforms all your creatures—including Wylie Duke, Atiin Hero and the tokens you create—into Krakens and every other creature type so they can seamlessly feed The Watcher in the Water's triggers. By tapping Wylie Duke to pay the alternate crew cost for Heart of Kiran, you trigger Wylie Duke's ability to draw a card during your opponent's turn, which in turn causes The Watcher in the Water to spawn a Tentacle token. You then sacrifice that token to Bartolomé del Presidio, whose death trigger lets The Watcher in the Water untap Wylie Duke so the entire sequence can repeat indefinitely for infinite card draw, life, and power.
