How it works
During an opponent's turn, activate Heart of Kiran by tapping Wylie Duke.
Wylie Duke triggers, causing you to draw a card and gain 1 life.
The Watcher's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Tentacle creature token.
Resolve the Heart of Kiran ability, causing it to become a creature until end of turn.
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the Tentacle.
When the Tentacle dies, The Watcher's second ability triggers, untapping Wylie Duke and putting a stun counter on up to one permanent.
Resolve the Phantom Train ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the Tentacle's power.
Repeat.
This fascinating loop turns an unexpected alliance of artifacts and heroes into a self-sustaining engine. Maskwood Nexus is the glue that makes it all work, granting every creature you control all creature types so that the tokens generated by The Watcher in the Water also count as Krakens to satisfy its own untap triggers. You use Wylie Duke, Atiin Hero to crew Heart of Kiran, which taps the hero to trigger its card draw; because it's an opponent's turn, The Watcher in the Water creates a Tentacle token. You then feed that token to Phantom Train, letting The Watcher in the Water trigger its second ability to untap Wylie Duke, Atiin Hero and ready the whole loop to run again.
