How it works

1. Activate Toymaker by paying 1, tapping it and discarding a card, causing Maskwood Nexus to become an artifact creature until end of turn.
2. Activate any number of mana-producing creatures you control by tapping them, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Maskwood Nexus by paying 3 and tapping it, creating a 2/2 Shapeshifter creature token.
4. When the Shapeshifter enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.
6. If creatures you control can tap to produce at least 4, this combo nets infinite mana.

This clever loop turns Maskwood Nexus into a self-replicating engine by using Toymaker to animate the Nexus into an artifact creature, allowing it to benefit from the global untap trigger of Intruder Alarm. As the Nexus generates 2/2 Shapeshifter tokens, every new creature entering the battlefield wakes up your entire board—including your mana producers and the newly untapping Maskwood Nexus itself. Because Maskwood Nexus's tokens are universally typed creatures thanks to its own passive ability, they seamlessly feed back into Intruder Alarm, letting you endlessly filter your mana to flood the board and generate infinite resources.
