How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Workshop Elders triggers, causing Maskwood Nexus to become a 0/0 artifact creature, then putting four +1/+1 counters on it.
2. Activate any number of mana-producing creatures you control by tapping them, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Maskwood Nexus by paying 3 and tapping it, creating a 2/2 Shapeshifter creature token.
4. When the Shapeshifter enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.
6. If creatures you control can tap to produce at least 4, this combo nets infinite mana.

By turning Maskwood Nexus into an artifact creature with the help of Workshop Elders, every token you create satisfies the creature-type condition that seamlessly intertwines with the rest of the board. Each time you activate Maskwood Nexus to produce a Shapeshifter, Intruder Alarm triggers off the new arrival to untap your entire board—including the Nexus itself and any mana-producing creatures you control. As long as your tapped creatures yield enough mana to fund the next activation, this loop generates infinite creature tokens, infinite entry triggers, and infinite mana to fuel whatever else you desire.
