How it works

1. Activate Karn's first loyalty ability by putting a loyalty counter on it, causing Maskwood Nexus to become a 4/4 artifact creature until end of turn.
2. Activate any number of mana-producing creatures you control by tapping them, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Maskwood Nexus by paying 3 and tapping it, creating a 2/2 Shapeshifter creature token.
4. When the Shapeshifter enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.
6. If creatures you control can tap to produce at least 4, this combo nets infinite mana.

With Karn, the Great Creator animating our artifacts, we can turn Maskwood Nexus into a creature, allowing it to benefit from the sweeping untap triggers of Intruder Alarm. As we pay into Maskwood Nexus's activation cost, every new token entering the battlefield causes Intruder Alarm to ready our entire board—including our mana-producing creatures and the animated Nexus itself. Thanks to Maskwood Nexus granting every creature type to our spells and permanents, every piece works in absolute harmony to flood the board and generate an endless surplus of mana.
