How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing any other creature.
2. When the creature dies as a Cleric due to Maskwood Nexus, Rotlung Reanimator triggers, creating a 2/2 Zombie creature token.
3. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever synergy relies on Maskwood Nexus to rewrite the rules of your battlefield, ensuring that every creature you control belongs to every creature type—including the Cleric type that Rotlung Reanimator cares about. With this type-shifting blanket active, sacrificing a creature to Yahenni, Undying Partisan triggers Rotlung Reanimator to immediately spawn a replacement Zombie token. Because that token also inherits every creature type from Maskwood Nexus, it counts as a valid Cleric ready to be sacrificed right back into the loop, fueling an endless cascade of death triggers while growing Yahenni into an unstoppable threat.
