How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing any other creature.
2. When the creature dies as a Cleric due to Maskwood Nexus, Rotlung Reanimator triggers, creating a 2/2 Zombie creature token.
3. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
4. Repeat.

This macabre loop relies on Maskwood Nexus to rewrite the fundamental nature of your entire army, granting every creature you control the Cleric type alongside all others. With this classification blanketed across your board, Shilgengar, Sire of Famine can continuously feed on your ranks to churn out Blood tokens. Whenever one of those sacrifices hits the graveyard, Rotlung Reanimator steps in to raise a fresh 2/2 Zombie token from the remains—which, thanks to Maskwood Nexus, immediately counts as a Cleric ready to be sacrificed all over again.
