How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating a 1/1 Frog creature token and a Treasure token.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Maskwood Nexus to turn every creature you control—including any tokens you make—into a Pirate alongside all other creature types, ensuring that any damage they deal triggers Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator. Thanks to Quina, Qu Gourmet, each time Malcolm causes a Treasure token to be created, you also receive an extra 1/1 green Frog creature token to fuel the engine. You can then feed those newly spawned Frogs and Treasures into Magmaw, whose ability deals the damage needed to keep Malcolm's trigger firing over and over while generating the mana and fodder required to sustain the loop indefinitely.
