How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing any other creature.
2. When the creature dies as a Human due to Maskwood Nexus, Xathrid Necromancer triggers, creating a 2/2 Zombie creature token.
3. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns Woe Strider into an endless sacrifice engine by leaning on Maskwood Nexus to rewrite every creature you own—including the tokens it produces—into Humans. With that universal type shift active, whenever you sacrifice a creature to Woe Strider, Xathrid Necromancer treats that loss as a dead Human and immediately replaces it with a tapped 2/2 Zombie token. You can then feed that fresh Zombie right back into Woe Strider to fuel infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield events, and continuous scrying.
