How it works

1. Cast Carnage by paying 2. When it enters, it triggers, returning Deceptive Frostkite from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Carnage.
2. Put Deceptive Frostkite into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Deceptive Frostkite's enter-the-battlefield ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Carnage.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop sets up an infinite recursive engine by leveraging the legend rule alongside continuous trigger generation. When you cast Carnage, Crimson Chaos, its enter-the-battlefield ability plucks Deceptive Frostkite straight out of your graveyard, allowing it to enter as a copy of Carnage. Because you now control two legendary creatures with the same name, the state-based legend rule immediately sends the copy to the graveyard—which cleverly triggers its own entry ability all over again to resurrect itself as Carnage once more. This seamless self-sustaining cycle generates infinite enters-the-battlefield triggers, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and death triggers to fuel whatever payoff you have waiting.
