How it works
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Skullwinder, adding CC.
When Skullwinder dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Skullwinder on top of your library from your graveyard.
Cast Hit the Mother Lode by paying 4, exiling Skullwinder from the top of your library and casting it without paying its mana cost, and creating seven tapped Treasure artifact tokens.
When Skullwinder and the Treasures enter the battlefield, Amulet of Vigor triggers seven times and Skullwinder triggers once.
Resolve all Amulet of Vigor triggers, untapping the Treasures.
Resolve the Skullwinder trigger, returning Hit the Mother Lode from your graveyard to your hand, and allowing an opponent to return a card from their graveyard to their hand.
Activate five Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
Repeat.
This delightfully recursive loop uses Mortuary as a mystical conveyor belt, intercepting Skullwinder the moment it is sacrificed to Ashnod's Altar and placing it right back on top of your library. From there, you cast Hit the Mother Lode to discover the snake shaman for free, generating a flood of tapped Treasure tokens that are instantly straightened out by Amulet of Vigor's eager untap trigger. The Treasures provide the exact mana needed to recast Hit the Mother Lode while Skullwinder's entrance brings the sorcery right back to your hand, fueling an endless engine of infinite mana, sacrifices, and tumbling treasures.
