How it works
Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Skullwinder.
When Skullwinder dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Skullwinder on top of your library from your graveyard.
Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
Cast Hit the Mother Lode by paying 4, exiling Skullwinder from the top of your library and casting it without paying its mana cost, and creating seven tapped Treasure artifact tokens.
When Skullwinder and the Treasures enter the battlefield, Amulet of Vigor triggers seven times and Skullwinder triggers once.
Resolve all Amulet of Vigor triggers, untapping the Treasures.
Resolve the Skullwinder trigger, returning Hit the Mother Lode from your graveyard to your hand, and causing an opponent to return a card from their graveyard to their hand.
Activate seven Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 4.
Repeat.
This fascinating loop turns Hit the Mother Lode into a self-sustaining engine by utilizing Mortuary to neatly recycle Skullwinder right back to the top of your library each time it is sacrificed to Carrion Feeder. When Skullwinder's discover mechanic predictably finds and casts that very sorcery, it not only refunds your mana through a flood of treasures, but those tokens also enter ready to spend immediately thanks to the clever untap triggers provided by Amulet of Vigor.
